Matthew Maranges is a partner at Peterson, Baldor & Maranges, PLLC. Board Certified in Construction Law by The Florida Bar since 2017, Matthew has earned an AV Preeminent rating from Martindale-Hubbell. He has been consistently recognized by Thomson Reuters’ Florida Super Lawyers as a “Rising Star” (2016-2024) and is listed in The Best Lawyers in America for Construction Law (2021-2024).
Matthew’s practice focuses on construction law and complex commercial matters. He regularly represents developers, general contractors, design professionals, and suppliers in sophisticated construction disputes. His litigation experience includes complex defect claims, delay claims, payment disputes, bond claims, and insurance coverage matters.
In his transactional practice, Matthew structures and negotiates construction and commercial agreements, including joint development agreements, manufacturing agreements, and purchase and sale contracts. He also leads the firm’s representation of major real estate investment funds, handling commercial lease negotiations and real estate litigation matters.
Matthew earned his Juris Doctor from Florida International University College of Law, graduating in the top 15% of his class, and his undergraduate degree from Georgetown University, where he captained the Division I baseball team while maintaining academic excellence as a Big East Conference Academic All Star.
